Kibbutz Glil Yam is located in the Sharon area, between the cities of Herzliya and Ramat Hasharon, south of Highway 541, and belongs to the Hof Hasharon Regional Council. In the early 1990s, an agreement was drawn up between the kibbutz and the Israel Lands Administration, the Herzliya Municipality, the Ramat Hasharon Council and the Ayalon Highway Company, to change the designation of hundreds of dunams in the kibbutz’s possession from agricultural land to land designated for construction.
Construction of the new Glil Yam neighborhood began in 2014. In the past, the land belonged to Kibbutz Glil Yam. The neighborhood is located in the southwestern part of Herzliya, near Seven Stars Boulevard and near the Ayalon Highway.
