Rehovot is one of the most sought-after cities in Israel’s central plain, with its status steadily rising thanks to its high-quality population, expanding high-tech park, renowned academic institutions, and Kaplan Medical Center. For the first time in many years, the East Rehovot neighborhood provides the city with a promising new reserve for urban growth and development.

Rehovot’s potential is on its way to realization.

Rehovot has always been one of the most desirable cities in Israel’s central plain, thanks to its prime location, high-quality population, and of course, its status as home to the Weizmann Institute of Science, the Hebrew University’s Faculty of Agriculture, the Peres Academic Center, and Kaplan Medical Center. In recent years, its rapidly growing high-tech park has further strengthened the city’s position as a leading urban center.

These factors have led to a steady influx of high socioeconomic residents, creating soaring demand that the city struggled to meet for years.

That changed with the introduction of the East Rehovot Plan, which includes the establishment of a new neighborhood featuring approximately 8,400 residential units, along with 630,000 square meters dedicated to commerce, employment, leisure, and recreation. The plan generated significant interest among investors, developers, and planners alike.

In 2023, the East Rehovot Plan was approved by the National Planning Committee, and in 2025, it received final authorization following a ruling by the Supreme Court, officially greenlighting its development.

Trigo Group, which invested in the neighborhood alongside its clients prior to the plan’s approval, is now advancing the design and execution phases of its projects within the new district.

Rehovot is getting on the metro

Rehovot is on the verge of a major public transportation revolution – one that will connect it seamlessly to Tel Aviv’s metropolitan area, the Ono Valley, and all cities of the Sharon region through Metro Line M1, which will include four stations across the city.

As part of the neighborhood development plan, a central public transportation hub will be established, where the metro will integrate with the city’s existing bus network. The metro will also connect residents of the East Rehovot neighborhood with the Israel Railways station in the city and a new station planned near the high-tech park.

This makes the neighborhood one of the only districts in Rehovot and the entire Shfela region to offer direct metro connectivity to every major destination in Tel Aviv, the Sharon, and the central region.

In addition to this unprecedented metro connection, residents will benefit from direct access to Highway 40, linking them to all major traffic arteries in central Israel – including Route 431, which provides a convenient route to Jerusalem via Highway 6.
